15.1 Overview
SQLOZ can show a chart projection from the current result grid without leaving the editor.
OzCharts eliminates this process by converting the data into live, high-resolution charts with a single click, without leaving the database interface.
15.2 Creating a Chart
- Run your query in the SQL editor, e.g.
SELECT category_name, SUM(total_price) FROM sales GROUP BY category_name. - Press the OzCharts button in the top-right corner of the result grid.
- Open the chart result tab. SQLOZ derives chart series from the current result rows; it does not invent missing values or query a different dataset.
The chart is rendered from the latest result-grid series. Re-run the query to refresh the source data.
15.3 Supported Chart Types
| Chart Type | Ideal Use Case |
|---|---|
| Line Chart | Monthly/daily sales trends and time-series data |
| Bar Chart | Comparisons across categories and per-city counts |
| Pie Chart | Percentage distributions such as market share and payment methods |
| Area Chart | Cumulative data and growth of a total over time |
15.4 High-Resolution Export
To add the chart to a report or presentation:
- Click Export in the OzCharts panel.
- Choose the format:
- PNG Image: A raster image.
- PDF Document: A vector PDF.
- Save the file to your preferred location with Save.
